Welcome to the Timereel website

Timereel.co.uk sells Documentary DVDs, all made using original archive film, much of it unseen. The team behind Timereel produces the DVDs too, scouring through the archives to select gems of film clips that bring the past back to life.

Our DVDs give you the chance to look back in time at the places you know. Our DVD range also includes documentaries on topics like wartime life, farming and steam railways. All our DVDs make perfect gifts for Mum, Dad, Gran and Grandad.

We have also launched a range of Greetings Cards using archive stills, which complement the DVDs, epsecially when they are given as gifts.

The company was formed in 2003 and is run by Andrew Gray and Ashley Bond, both of whom have come from a film and television background. The company has worked with film arhcives including the East Anglian Film Archive and ITN Source.

Working originally with the East Anglian Film Archive, the team released a series of DVDs on Norfolk and Suffolk history in 2007.

Over time, the collection expanded to include titles for Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire as well as many Anglia Television favourites.

In 2009, the company began working with ITN Source. Using the New Classics collection, the team have released a whole new range of DVD titles showing unseen archive film, telling the story of Britain's historical changes since the turn of the 20th Century through to the 1970s.
