Independent Studios UK and Archive Film Shop is now Timereel.

Timereel.co.uk sell local interest DVDs, all made using original archive film. The team behind Timereel produce the DVDs too, scouring through the archives to select gems of film clips that bring the past back to life.

Our DVDs give you the chance to look back in time at the places you know. The range also includes documentaries on topics like wartime life, farming and steam railways, as well as some old television favourites.

The company was formed in 2003 and is run by Andrew Gray and Ashley Bond, both of whom have come from a film and television background. The company has worked with both the East Anglian Film Archive and more recently, ITN Source.

Working originally with the East Anglian Film Archive, the team released a series of DVDs on Norfolk and Suffolk history in 2007.

Over time, the collection expanded to include titles for Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire as well as many Anglia Television favourites.

In 2009, the company began working with ITN Source. Using the New Classics collection, the team released a whole new range of DVD titles covering London's history.
